Biography

Cam Choy was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Notre Dame and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Kentucky. His primary influence stems from undergraduate travels to Italy where he was exposed to the works of the Renaissance Masters.

His annual trips to his childhood home keeps him connected to influences far different from his academic training. The vast Pacific Ocean, the melting pot culture of the Pacific Rim, and the island lifestyle all bear their imprint on Cam’s work.
