The Developmental Advisor at KPC’s Kenai River campus provide support and assistance to students who place in the preparatory Math and English courses (MATH 054, MATH 055, PRPE 086, and PRPE 108).
The support and assistance is offered through several modalities: during face-to- face appointments, phone appointments, through email, classroom visits, through a Blackboard course shell that provides weekly updates and notifications to students as well as proactive outreach with offers of advising preparation for coming semesters and encouraging students to successfully complete their academic program.
The developmental advisor aid students in coordinating academic resources such as tutoring disability services, counseling, testing services, form completion and much more.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday, walk-in hours are held on Wednesday 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m.
