Course Description
Applies knowledge and skills of paramedic practice, including patient assessments, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology, while integrating principles and assessment finding to formulate impressions and implement treatment plans for adult medical patients and pediatrics suffering from acute and chronic illnesses.
Special Note: Students must have the strength to be able to move victims, sufficient vision and hearing to assess the patient's condition, and dexterity to perform the skills application procedures. There are additional applications and fees for students who wish to be certified with the State of Alaska and/or National Registry.
