Counselors' Welcome

Welcome from the KRC Counselors

Over the years, we have had the great experience of watching hundreds of high school students succeed in their college courses at KPC. We’d like to share with you a few of the traits that we see in those successful students.

Open to new ideas and experiences...

Successful students never forget how much there is to learn from the perspectives of those who see an issue differently.

Open to asking for help...

Successful students know that help is always available...for those who are willing to ask for it.

Open to new levels of responsibility...

Successful students take responsibility for their learning; they understand that learning is work: what they put into their class—is what they will get out of it.

We will be the last people to sign your High School Waiver Application form, once it is completed by you, your parents and your school counselor, and we have reviewed your placement test results. We look forward to meeting you at the Advising and Signatures Session.
