What is a GED?

The GED is a diploma by examination issued by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. It's a 4-subject test (language arts, social studies, science, and math), typically not taken all at once.

GED Requirements for Alaska

Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Students under 18 must submit a signed parent or guardian permission form and an official school withdrawal form before going through the GED Orientation.

GED testing is available in-person and online. For more information about the Adult Ed Program or GED testing at the Kenai River Campus please call the Learning Center at 907-262-0327.

English as a Second Language (not offered in the summer)
