Ralph Soberg home, Soldotna mid-1950's

Photographed from the Kenai River is an Alaska Road Commission residence built in 1954 for the Alaska Road Commission superintendent, Ralph Soberg. It was a beautiful two-bedroom home with a full basement. In 2000, it was occupied by a city employee who was somewhat of a caretaker of Soldotna Creek Park of which this house is a part. Today, natural forest growth has once again has sheltered this spot.
