Student Government is a great way to get involved on campus. Create a positive environment for fellow students by contributing to campus events and becoming active in local and university-wide student government. Apply for a paid officer position or volunteer frequently in a student representative role.
They work to represent and advocate for KPC students on campus, within the University of Alaska system and the Alaska legislature. They provide leadership and work to provide the students activities and regular events that make campus life more fun and culturally rich. The groups work to provide students with benefits, such as student discounts in the community and fund raising for student scholarships. Student fees support the student government's activities.
Student leadership positions are paid student employment and include president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and committee chairpersons for programming, services, communications and legislative issues. Student representatives positions are filled on a volunteer basis. Any and all students can contribute to student government as student representatives!
