Director's Welcome

Welcome to Kenai Peninsula College!

KPC Director Gary TurnerAs you explore the website, you'll be pleasantly surprised at the number of programs and classes available to you. We keep growing and adding more courses and programs every year.

As part of the community campus system of the University of Alaska Anchorage, our college is comprised of the Kenai River Campus in Soldotna, Kachemak Bay Campus in Homer, and Resurrection Bay Extension Site in Seward.

Our student population is as diverse as our course offerings, and we're always adjusting our courses to meet the needs of the Kenai Peninsula community and state of Alaska. We are particularly proud of our e-Learning programs and courses since they allow us to reach out to Peninsula residents that live too far away from one of our sites to take in-person classes or, due to personal or professional obligations, cannot pursue college during normal class hours.

Our faculty and staff are top notch, student-oriented professionals who will do their utmost to make your educational experience a rewarding one. At KPC, you are not a number. We pride ourselves on small classes (14:1), outstanding student service, personal attention from our faculty and staff and a warm family-like atmosphere. You won't get lost in the crowd here, unless you get caught up in a school of salmon or herd of caribou.

To those of you who have yet to visit our college, we encourage you to check us out and take a class or two, or pursue a degree program that will lead to an exciting career. For those who are not strangers to our classrooms, welcome back. We're really glad to see you!

My door is always open and I look forward to meeting each one of you.
