Superior Building Supply addition under construction, Soldotna, Alaska 1960

Superior Building Supply warehouse addition being framed, probably during spring time of the year judging from the standing water and clothing worn by the carpenter. Two Kenai entrepreneurs, John Swanson and Stan Thompson, had started much needed building supply houses in Kenai. Stan sold to Palmer G. Lewis (a westcoast firm) and subsequently they became Spenard Building Supply. There are stores in Soldotna and Kenai today as of 2016.
