Rich Kochis joined the faculty at Kenai Peninsula College in 2007, following a 33-year career as a research and development engineer for Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. Throughout his engineering career, Rich designed a wide variety of analog, digital and integrated circuits as well as designing the switch mode power supply for a portable scanning product. His work involved both primary design as well as manufacturing development and support for a globally distributed manufacturing team where he was supporting the production of Flash memory tester units. During his years with Hewlett-Packard he was also able to participate in a faculty loan program that allowed him to teach electrical engineering courses for two years at New Mexico State University.
