Irrigation Water Management (IWM) is a tool that incorporates climactic and crop-specific data to best inform when and how much water is necessary to maximize crop productivity while using the minimum amount of water necessary, reducing impacts to the landscape’s natural hydrology.
Emily MacDonald and Jesse Hunter from the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) will present irrigation concepts and practices to help farmers become more efficient.
Know Your Land is a weekly agriculture series presented by Homer Soil and Water Conservation District in person in Pioneer Hall at Kachemak Bay Campus and via Zoom.
