On Thursday, February 20 at 6:00 PM at Kachemak Bay Campus, join acclaimed writer, Tom Kizzia for the story of Josie Rudolph, the first white settler girl born under the American flag in Sitka, and how she survived the Holocaust due to her Alaskan birthplace.
Kizzia will also address the story's relevance to today’s debates over birthright citizenship and the inclusion of immigrants and indigenous peoples in stories of our pioneer past.
