October 29, 2024 - Kenai River Campus CLOSED, Kachemak Bay Campus TWO HOUR DELAY

October 29, 2024 - The Kenai River Campus (Soldotna) is closed due to inclement weather. The Kachemak Bay Campus (Homer) is on a two hour delay.

Online classes will meet unless told otherwise by an instructor.

All evening events at KRC (Soldotna) are cancelled. This includes the KPC Showcase.

Creative Writing Workshop. Flash Personal Memoires: The Animals We Know with Rich Chiappone and Justin Herrmann.

On Saturday, October 12 at 10:00 AM, the creative writing workshop Flash Personal Essays: The Animals We Know with Rich Chiappone and Justin Herrmann begins at Kachemak Bay Campus. This three-part workshop meets 10/12, 10/19, and 10/26. For details and how to register visit our Community Education Portal.

Rich Chiappone is the author of three collections of short fiction and essays and has taught at the University of Alaska Anchorage since 1995. Justin Herrmann is the author of the short fiction collection Highway One, Antarctica (MadHat Press 2014). His stories have appeared in Best Small Fictions, as well as journals including River Styx, Washington Square Review, and SmokeLong Quarterly.
