Pictured is the trailer home of Calvin and Jane Fair. He was the second dentist in the area, proceeded by Dr. Pollard (Kasilof). The couple, both Hoosiers, he was educated at the University of Indiana, was introduced to Alaska as an army dentist in Whitter. He homesteaded overlooking the Kenai River at the end of Forest Lane. He practiced many years in Soldotna, served three generations who clamored for his gentle ways. He reluctantly retired in 1997, they raised Clark, Janiece, and Lowell all of whom still live in Alaska.
