Kathy Reger and the "Orange Crate" school bus, Soldotna 1952
Student Kathy Reger is pictured in 1952 standing by the "Orange Crate", the second school bus that picked up Soldotna and Sterling students. The Alaska Road Commission mechanics monitored its every trip and rescued it when necessary.
