Alaska Road Commission Shop, at about mile .03 Kenai Spur Road between Salt and Pepper Creeks. Platform tents offered storage space, and the camp was comprised of wooden buildings. This was shortly after WWII, and army buildings were surplused and probably available from one government agency to another, and were often moved from Seward. Ralph Soberg was the "boss" while Matrona Pedersen and Emil Shupe were camp cooks.
