the second Soldotna post office was dedicated in 1962. This spelling is how it appeared on the initial postal application and endured for some years until it was settled on Soldotna. A colored picture would have shown the pink and black paint jobs. Mickey Faa was the postmaster. Five hundred boxes with combination locks were available for patrons. Shortly after, Robertta Tackick became postmaster.
