Medical evacuation, Kenai airport, Kenai 1950's

Photo taken on Kenai airport, note the WWII landing mat that was used until a strip was further surfaced. From the Cheechako News, a typical evacuation. Here Sp. Francis Becker, of Wildwood Army Station is being loaded into the L-20 for evacuation to Elmendorf AFB and 5040th Hospital. He had a badly cut and damaged leg from a skill saw accident.
