Dick is the son of Ed Baldwin, the owner of Baldwin Seeds in Anchorage. He spent a great deal of time on the Kenai Peninsula, and married Ann Mosquito from western Alaska. Dick followed his father in in horticulture, and now propogates seeds from circumpolar countries. His seed beds are within the fence surrounding the Soldotna airport. This picture shows him surrounded by bee hives.
