This photo shows equipment cleaning the ground for the Shaffer Tool Works. They were one of numerous oil field support companies which followed the Swanson River discovery. This spot is near 4 Royle Parker's, between the city limits of Soldotna and Kenai, which the residents there named Ridgeway.
