Refueling Jets at Kenai Airport, Kenai late 1960's

From: News Bureau, Public Relations Dept., Standard Oil Co. of San Francisco, California: "Fuel supplies for the growing number of jet aircraft flying in & through Alaska are now hundreds of miles closer with construction of Standard Oil of California's refinery on the Kenai Peninsula. Both military & commercial jet fuels will be manufactured." Pictured is a PNA (Pacific Northern Airlines) jet, which was owned and operated by Art Woodley. He flew off Merrill Field in the early 1940s. Locals used to say "PNA all the way."
