Standard Oil refinery's Tlingit totem pole, Nikiski early 1960's

Standard Oil's Alaskan refinery has its own totem pole carved by the Tlingit Indians of the Chilkat & Chilkoot Clans near Haines. The totem is designed to represent the story of the discovery of oil in Alaska.
