Gas well at Beluga River, west Cook Inlet 1960's

A valve tree marks the site of a gas well drilled by Standard Oil near the Beluga River, across the Cook Inlet from the company's new refinery. Standard Oil's Alaskan exploration program has been carried on in many areas throughout Alaska.
