On Mission Avenue, unpaved, with the Holy Assumption of the Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church in view, with the Kenai Commercial Store on the left. Helen Jones was the proprietor at this time. A general store offering groceries, sundries, light hardware and good cheer, as well as medical advice from Helen Jones, who was a registered nurse. Next home was that of Victor Segura whose children are Clare, Edward, Gertrude, Jimmy, Rita, Ricky Billy and David. Next building was moved by Jean McMaster out to the North Road which became her first dance studio. A sign on the next building reads "Drift Inn Bar", which was owned by Kent Cummings, and it was later destroyed by a fire. Great effort was made to save "the wares" as the building burned. Prominent is the home of Warder and Nadia Showalter, whose children were Ward Jr., Claude (Bobby), Jay, Hazel, Emery, James, Adeline, and Hilma.
