Virgil Dahler preparing his garden, Sterling early 1950's
Preparing for a garden. Trees had to be removed and roots pulled. Here in the patch is a small Ford tractor and a one and a half ton Model A, truck painted red which had been Kenai Joe's (Consiel). Joe had hired Virgil to haul army surplus buildings from Seward which became the Harborview Hotel.
