Assignment of this construction truck and crews to the Kenai/Soldotna area was part of the telephone company's plan to bring better communications to Kenai and Soldotna, according to James Ditto, General Manager of the firm. At the time of this photo, installation of new equipment and construction of new lines was underway in Kenai.
