Larry Lancashire homestead at mile 2 Kenai Spur Highway. Since 1948, this WWII vet was in commercial production of potatoes on about ten acres. He had cleared and removed the roots enough to allow plowing and planting. Harvest would have taken place in September after the plants had been nipped by frost. His market was with the millitary at Wildwood Station in Kenai and also at a base in Anchorage.
