Pictured are Roger, Wayne, Chuck, Anna, Melvin, & Paul in front are Bob, Shirley, & Arlene. This is a very industrious family. They were friends of Stocks & Dubendorfs who also came from Kennewick Washington. Paul was employed as a mechanic by the Alaska Road Commission. They bought property from Lawrence McGuire on the Sterling Hwy at the South East side of the Kenai river bridge. They built a large (for early times) two story frame house. Some of the brothers started a very early trucking business -Tachick Freight Lines. Some how Anna kept up with all the household chores, washing, ironing, sewing, cooking, & preserving food. Her good nature prevailed. She & Paul often visited neighbors in the evening. The house later was moved to Cohoe and occupied by the John Standifer family.
