Abby and Martha Lancashire and Lancashire cabin, Soldotna 1950's
Wash day at the Lancashire homestead. Water was hauled in drums from the spring at Soldotna Creek and used in a gas-powered washing machine. The clothing was then line-dried in the summer months. Homestead children had daily chores.
