Manilla & Ken Coursen home, Cooper Landing early 1970's

Home of Manilla and Ken Coursen, present site of Wild Land Adventures. The green house and cabin on the left were the "beginnings" of this fine couple. They lived here in the early 1950's. Hardworking people from eastern Washington, they were subsistence people who even fertilized their beautiful vegetable garden with moose droppings and extracted birch sap for syrup. Their door was always open to passerby.
