A sizeable concrete block building was constructed by Burton Carver and the National Bank of Alaska on acreage that was part of the Binkley homestead. It housed the Sky Bowl Cafe and Bowling Alley, the first bank in Soldotna- National Bank of Alaska , and a school bus garage. Burton Carver had the bus contract for many years. Pictured here is the grand opening, with Ralph Rivers, Mickey Parker, Ernest Greuing and Nick Begich.
