Sky Bowl bowlers, Soldotna 1960
The Sky Bowl bowling alley caught on right away, and men's and women's teams formed. Afternoon bowling filled a niche for the oil wives, many of whom were new to Alaska. Many evening teams were sponsored by businesses, all new to the area.
