Beginning Sunday, March 17 at 4:00 PM the four-day Kachemak Bay Science Conference launches at Kachemak Bay Campus and will be an in person event for the first time since 2018.
The conference is being organized by UAA's Kachemak Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and the Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies and features presentations by scientists who will provide new information about Kachemak Bay and its surrounding coasts and waters to help inform each other and the public about the state of our ecosystem.
There also will be poster sessions, expo booths, and a closing performance by dancers from tribal communities across the Bay.
