Making Pigment and Paint with Local Materials

On Saturday, September 20 at 10 AM, learn and practice the process of making dry pigment from rocks and blue mussel shells to use to create watercolor pans/shells. The pigment-making process is ages old, and there are archeological examples of the use of this type of pigment in rock paintings throughout the world, including Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet.
