Paul & Jane Nestor family, Soldotna 1953

They purchased land from H. J. Binkley on the river, now site between Arby's and the Sears building. This sign was for a long time the only indication of the name of the tiny settlement. This was a manufacturing site, as Paul made concrete blocks. The first installation of these was for a basement on Birch Street, in a home Mel Carlson was building.
