Andy Simons and his mountain, Cooper Landing mid 1960's
Mount Andy Simons was dedicated to this man with Alaska guide license #1 after all his work in the 1930's-40's. Also named after him is the Andy Simon's Wilderness Area, a 806,000 acre area with special protection within the (then) Kenai National Moose Range, the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.
