Ice fishing was a popular and growing sport in the Kenai National Moose range (now Kenai National Wildlife Refuge). Pictured is Calvin Fair, an outdoorsman. He had a long and early career in dentistry in Soldotna, and he homesteaded on the Kenai River off Forest Lane in Kenai.
