Basic Fruit Tree Pruning

On Friday, January 30, Kachemak Bay Campus presents a two-part workshop taught by local fruit tree expert Tim Alzheimer, which starts with a classroom session on Friday, 5:30 - 7 pm, covering the philosophy of pruning trees, the anatomy of a fruit tree, types of tree forms, and tree pruning priorities. On Saturday, 1 - 3:30 pm, take a field trip to Bear Creek Winery's orchard for some live demos of actual pruning underway! $50. Backyard Fruit Basics

On Tuesday, February 10, 6 - 7:30 pm, join expert Tim Alzheimer online or in-person at Kachemak Bay Campus and learn all the basics you need to know to prepare a site, choose fruit varieties, acquire stock, and maintain a prolific orchard or berry patch for years!
