The 2026 Alaska Historical Society conference will take place at Kachemak Bay Campus this year, October 8 - 10, in Pioneer Hall. The conference theme, New Directions in Alaska History, focuses on the impacts of global forces on local communities’ experiences, environmental changes, and contributions of Alaska Native peoples. The conference offers numerous public enrollment options, including a $25 day rate for students (must show ID at check-in), as well as student scholarships.
