Our Point of View Lodge, in Cooper Landing, Alaska was a fine establishment. It was constructed in the 1950's by Kenneth and Pauline Lancaster who operated it for many years, until they sold to Terry and Camilla Lowe. In November 1976 it burned to the ground. The property had been leased from the U.S. Forest Service. Beside the restaurant, it included a bar and dance floor, and the view was outstanding. Patrons always spent time outside just "taking it in."
