Summit Lake Lodge was built near the shore of Upper Summit Lake in the 1950's. Built by a family of three from Chicago, they were very hospitable people who operated it for years until they sold it in the 1980's It had gas pumps, cabins to rent and also had a cozy fire place. It was open year around, serving good food. A very fine location within the Chugach National Forest.
