Soldotna, Sterling, and Kasilof students rode a school bus into Kenai at this time. This is the photo of the Lancashire daughters heading down the lane toward home after the bus ride. These young girls are wearing good winter clothing, returning with tin lunch boxes which probably had held sandwiches of homemade bread and a bottle of homemade rootbeer. The building on the left is the chicken house and the barn is shown on the right.
