With more than 50 years of experience collaborating with industry to make KPC’s process technology one of the most highly regarded programs in existence, students get cutting-edge academic and experiential experiences from highly qualified faculty. The program is administered from KRC's state-of-the-art Career and Technical Center with simulators and equipment on par with current industry standards.
High demand is expected for process operators as the existing workforce retires and as the industry evolves and expands in Alaska and throughout the United States.
The graduates of the KPC Process Technology program have gone on to work for companies like, Marathon Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, Blue Crest Energy, Exxon Mobil, ASRC Energy Services, Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, and many more.
Since many students can be living throughout Alaska, 48 states, or offshore, KPC offers video streaming of all courses, allowing students to view classes from their place of employment at their leisure.
This program is offered at the Kenai River Campus. The program at the Anchorage Extension Site (located at the UAA-University Center) has been suspended indefinitely. Supporting general education requirements and select program specific courses are also offered at KBC.
