Chevron service station at the Y and part of the Farnsworth homestead in Soldotna. Jack Farnsworth first built a small station, which was operated with 2 manual pumps. Tires were changed with tire irons and crude patches. While Sterling Highway was mud and gravel, flat tires were very frequent. Operators included Mr. Mongeau, Jim Porter, Charlie Lisenbee, Howard Pugh, and Morris Coursen.
