Derk's Trading Post, Soldotna 1964
Gwen & Alfred "Derk"" Derkevorkian purchased this property in 1961 from Jack & Dolly Farnsworth and built a general merchandise store called Derk's Trading Post. One carpenter on the project was "Shorty" Harris. Presently this building serves as the Salvation Army (2016).
