View at the mouth of the Kenai River which was a common place for commercial fishing boats to tie up. A lot of camaraderie took place here. Usually skippers tied to a buoy, or anchored up with friends. They swabbed the table at the end of the day and prepared for the next fishing period. At one time, commercial fishing was open five days a week, but today it is open barely two days a week. Pictured here are mostly "snug" boats. These were leased from the Snug Harbor Cannery on the west side of Cook Inlet.
